Andhra election result: Andhra Governor accepts YS Jagan Reddy's resignation
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer on Tuesday accepted Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's resignation and requested him to continue in the office until the formation of a new government, said an official.
Anil Kumar Singhal, special chief secretary to the Governor, noted that Nazeer accepted Reddy's resignation with effect from June 4.
"Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh submitted his resignation to the Governor. The Governor, while accepting the resignation with effect from June 4, requested Reddy to continue in office till the formation of a new government," said Singhal in a press release.

Andhra election result: Pawan Kalyan says time to work for people
Janasena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday said his is the only party in the entire country which has won 100 per cent of the seats contested.
"This is the day of historic judgment. We have committed to the people of Andhra Pradesh that there will be a responsible government. The NDA government will honour it," he said.
The actor-turned-politician also said the NDA will form a responsible government in Andhra Pradesh and the Janasena will ensure all the poll promises it made are honoured.

Outgoing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday conceded defeat and congratulated Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu, the BJP and actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan for their win in the Assembly elections.
"Don't know what went wrong for us, but Isincerely served people. All the best to those whohave won the people’s mandate.I ensured throughout my term that I gave a voice to the voiceless," an emotional Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
