I placed a called this am explained my dog was having trouble breathing, well were booked 3 weeks out take them to Valley Oaks, Valley Oaks is NOT my veterinarian clinic they have done this to me two other times which resulted in the death of my dogs. If your not an emergency clinic along with regular care please let people know before they become your patients. Very disappointed with your care , Dr.Brown and the other two vets are great when you get to see them I wonder if they know there staff is turning clients away. Which is more important a dogs life or a routine check up. I think you need to rethink how you want to practice and what is more important. These are not just animals theseare our family members!!!

I took my 2 dogs in for their 3 year Rabies Vaccine. It was a quick and easy process! Very friendly employees who got me in and out in no time! A beautiful place to walk around!

Friendly, helpful, plus they have a spay and neuter clinic on Thursdays.

I'm very pleased with the service I received for my cat Buddy. He seems so calm in their care. Kudos to the staff ! On a Thursday I went and needed to have Buddy get a few shots and there are discounts on Thursdays. Which I greatly appreciated ! Thank you so much !

Dr. Prather was our preferred veterinarian when she practiced in Chico for several years. Our dogs like her and we like her natural approach to treating our pets.Our terrier had been scratching a lot and Dr. Prather identified environmental cause of her itch. One shot of a biologic made our dog stop scratching within hours.We are very happy to entrust our fur babies to Dr. Prather.

I took my kitten here because she was sick. They had me drop her off because of covid no one besides staff aloud in the building. I called to check on her and they told me they put her down. Without even contacting me first. Like I get she was sick and it had to be done. But they could have had the decency to call me and ask If I wanted to be there with her. Now i feel like my baby was scared and probably thought that i abandoned her right before death. And for that I will never bring another animal here and if anyone ask about this place I will tell them to go elsewhere. I wish I could give 0 stars but I'm gonna give it a 5 star so my comment gets seen.

Listened to the problem, treaded the problem. Talked to me in depth and answered all of my questions which was awesome. And most importantly fixed the issues with both of my dogs. I highly recommend this vet.

I live in Yankee Hill and have been going to Dr. Brown for over 20 years and have referred neighbors to LAVS. Dr. Brown is the best!! We have cried and laughed together over my animals. I don't think you will find another vet as great and humble as Dr. Brown.. I would not take my animals to another vet unless I had no choice. Dr. Brown really cares for my animals and does what is best for them. He has always been out front with me even if I didn't want to hear what he had to say. Always helpful and always willing to answer questions. I've been coming here for years with out any issues. I was personally helped out by Haylie last time I was there. she was so sweet and understanding. I get a little nervous not being able to hold my fur baby's hand threw all of her check ups but Haylie sent me updates easing my mind.

TERRIBLE!!! Showed up before they opened because my Great Dane went through a window. They refused to see us as my dog was in my car bleeding. The receptionist also checked with her supervisor and confirmed that they would not be able to help my suffering animal as we were outside their front door. PATHETIC EXCUSE for a vet!

Act like it is there pet
