With such a historic offense in the 2023 regular season, it makes perfect sense that the Atlanta Braves are nominated for various awards.

But NINE of them?

MLB announced the 2023 All-MLB nominees, and nine different Atlanta Braves made the list. Voting has begun, and ballots can be submitted through the league's official website through Sunday, November 19th at 8:00 PM ET.

The nine Braves nominated for this year's awards are:

OF Ronald Acuña Jr

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (1)

You knew this was coming - the likely 2023 NL Most Valuable Player, Acuña logged only the 5th 40/40 season in MLB history. the dynamic rightfielder led all of MLB in hits (217), runs (149), stolen bases (73), on-base percentage (.416), and total bases (383) while leading the NL in plate appearances (735) and at-bats (643), OPS (1.012), and OPS+ (168).

There's going to be three outfielders named to the team (out of 21 nominees) and he feels as much as a lock as anyone on this team.

1B Matt Olson

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (2)

Starting every single regular season game for a 2nd consecutive season, Olson led all of baseball in both home runs (54) and RBIs (139) and it wasn't particularly close. Pacing the National League in slugging (.604), Atlanta's 1st baseman saw his season production take a massive leap when he dropped from batting 2nd to cleanup, and as Acuña and Olson went, so did the offense.

2B Ozzie Albies

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (3)

Atlanta's Short King, Albies continues to be one of the more productive second basem*n in all of MLB. An All-Star for the third time in his six-plus seasons in Atlanta, Albies set a new career high in homeruns with 33 while also logging the 2nd-highest full season batting average (.280) of his career.

SS Orlando Arcia

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (4)

Finally back as a starter after losing his job in Milwaukee and backing up Dansby Swanson for a few years, Arcia rode a hot first half to his first career All-Star berth and was a starter in the Midsummer Classic, to boot.

Arcia finished .264/.321/.420 with 17 HRs and looks to build on his resurgent season in 2024.

3B Austin Riley

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (5)

One of the Braves' three Gold Glove nominees for 2023, Riley started slow but took off down the stretch for Atlanta. Batting .300/.368/.601 with 21 homers in the 2nd half of the season, Riley continued his torrid hitting in the postseason, collecting six hits across the four games of the NLDS with two home runs and three RBIs.

DH Marcell Ozuna

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (6)

Atlanta's "Big Bear", Ozuna started off as cold as possible - he was batting .081 at the end of April - just to rebound into an absolute mashing machine. Finishing his season with a career-high 40 homers and a .274/.346/.558 slashline, Ozuna proved manager Brian Snitker correct when Snit stuck with him through his early-season struggles.

C Sean Murphy

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (7)

It was almost a tale of two seasons for Atlanta's newest import, with Murphy starting out hot in his first season as a member of the Braves. Playing almost every day for a notable chunk of the season's first half, Murphy batted .306/.400/.599 and was a starter for the NL in the All-Star Game. But more sporadic play time in the 2nd half prevented Murphy from getting comfortable at the plate, and a .159/.310/.275 slash line left him with only a .251 average on the season.

SP Spencer Strider

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (8)

What a season for Spencer Strider. The righty out of Clemson University broke John Smoltz's Atlanta 1996 record for strikeouts in a season with 281, leading all of MLB. Strider also paced all of baseball in wins (20), winning percentage (.800), and strikeout rate (13.5 K/9) while leading the NL in FIP (2.85), but some unlucky big innings left his ERA at 3.86 and on the outside looking in at the NL Cy Young race.

RP Raisel Iglesias

Nine Braves nominated for All-MLB team (9)

"Iggy" rebounded from an early-season IL stint for shoulder soreness to finish 50 games for the Braves, going 5-4 with 2.75 ERA and 33 saves (in 37 chances). Iglesias, a 2022 trade deadline acquisition from the Angels, has pitched to a 1.98 ERA in 86 games since being acquired for Tucker Davidson and Jesse Chavez in a salary dump by Los Angeles.

Voting is open now on MLB.com and ballots can be submitted until 8:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 19th. Fan voting will comprise 50% of the official determination of the All-MVP vote, with the other 50% being a baseball media panel vote.
