Flandreau, South Dakota Virginia "Ginnie" Sue Waxdahl 1946 — 2023 Virginia "Ginnie" Waxdahl, age 77, of Sioux Falls, passed away on Thursday, April 20th, 2023 at Avantara Norton in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Flandreau. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, April 28th, 2023, at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau. www.skrochfc.com Aberdeen, SD Leslie Anne "Tez" (Miles) Tso 1946 — 2022 Leslie Anne "Tez" (Miles) Tso, 75, Aberdeen, SD, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen. Tez was born in Flandreau on December 8, 1946, to Leroy and Elaine (Traversie) Miles. She was a member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, and also a lineal descendant of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. She attended the Flandreau Public School system graduating in 1965. Tez excelled at playing the bass clarinet and was a two-time All-State Band musician. In 1968, she graduated from Haskell Indian Junior College, in Lawrence, KS with an Associate's Degree in business. She married Eugene Tso in Gallup, NM in 1968. Their son,... Deb was born on August 25, 1953 to John F. and Marlys Weig in Aberdeen, SD. She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1974. She was a huge Pittsburgh Steeler Football fan, an animal rescuer, and was also at one time a professional body builder, winning numerous awards and trophies. Deb is survived by her husband, Craig Kenison, Tyler, TX; children: Jonathan Whiting, Fargo, ND; Jamie Whiting, Watertown, SD; and Leslie Whiting, California; mother, Marlys Weig, Aberdeen, SD; and siblings: John M. Thielsen, 85, Flandreau, passed away of complications due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Janice was born west of Flandreau on March 31, 1935 to Cy and Blanch (Thomas) Whaley. After high school, Janice married her sweetheart, George Thielsen, on July 3, 1953 while he was on a 3-day pass during the Korean War. Despite her many occupations, Janice's most cherished role was raising and caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother. Janice was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans, Daughters of the Nile, and Eastern Star. She was a Deacon in her church and active in the choir.
