Roller Rink opens at Hotel Del Coronado: Opening near the main entrance, the Hotel del Coronado will host a skating rink this summer. Summer Nights at the Comic-Con Museum: Starting this weekend, on Fridays leading up to Comic-Con (except July 5), the Comic-Con Museum will be open late for its new Summer Nights event series. Each Friday evening will feature a different theme: cosplay, Dungeons & Dragons, competitive puzzle building, a kid-friendly crafting night and a zombicide game night. US Police & Fire Championships: Firefighters, police officers and other law enforcement officials from around the U.S. will face off in everything from a biathlon to surfing in the annual Police and Fire Championships. Summer concerts at the fair: The Toyota Summer Concert Series at the San Diego County Fair continues this weekend with performances by TLC tonight and Pepe Aguilar on Sunday. Switchfoot Bro-Am: When not traveling the world as part of the touring rock band Switchfoot, its group members can be found in Encinitas each summer throwing a beach festival and surf competition known as Bro-Am. It starts with a benefit party fundraiser, and this Saturday it will continue with thousands of people gathering to watch the band perform in addition to a lineup of other musical entertainment. ‘Dramarama:’ The Carmel Valley Library will be screening “Dramarama,” an award-winning movie documenting the challenges for a boy to come out to his closest theater friends. Mister A’s lobster cookout: This Father’s Day weekend, Mister A’s is hosting a lobster cookout benefiting the nonprofit Monarch School. Executive chef Stephane Voitzwinkler will be grilling on the outdoor patio with a menu that includes full or half lobsters served in a Cajun lemongrass broth with crab legs, Manila clams, andouille sausage, red potatoes and corn on the cob.
